Retain your car's factory features with a new radio
You want to install a new car stereo, but you don't want to lose the useful features built into your factory radio. The Axxess AX-ADBOX1 module gives you the ability to connect your new radio to the existing wiring in your vehicle and keep your factory features working. When used with the required Axxess interface harness for your car (sold separately), this interface automatically configures itself to work with your vehicle's data system. You'll keep the features you've become accustomed to, including OnStar®, Bluetooth®, safety warning chimes, Retained Accessory Power (RAP), and the SYNC® system.
Versatility and compatibility
This Axxess module works with amplified, non-amplified, or digitally amplified systems. The AX-ADBOX1 gives you a "plug and play" connection for the Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel interface (sold separately). And if you're installing a new navigation receiver, the AX-ADBOX1 also includes the parking brake, reverse, mute, and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) outputs you'll need. This Axxess adapter also retains the digital fade included in some factory amplified sound systems.
Installation note: The Axxess AX-ADBOX1 must be used with one of the following Axxess vehicle-specific interface harnesses: AX-ADCH01, AX-ADCH02, AX-ADFD01, AX-ADFD02, AX-ADGM01, AX-ADGM02, AX-ADGM03, AX-ADMZ01, AX-ADTY01, or AX-ADVW01.
